MGA Introduces New Insurance Programs Using Dragonflyware Software and Services

Austin, TX - March 12, 2010 - iMGA, a specialty-program Managing General Agent (MGA) based in Austin, has introduced its new Mobile Home, Homeowners and Rental Dwelling insurance programs using Dragonflyware's rules based SAAS insurance solution.

"We are thrilled with the flexibility and capability of PolicyWire and Protean," said James Dickey, COO of iMGA, referring to Dragonflyware's full program life-cycle management and rating, workflow and display engine products.

Time to Market
A critical element for iMGA was fast time to market. "As a start-up it was essential that we be live as quickly as possible. Thanks to the ability to configure the screens, rates, rules and output we were able to be in production on four lines of business in only a few months," Dickey said. "Plus, while their services were invaluable, the amount of services needed was surprisingly little thanks to the way the system is designed."

Flexibility
As a specialty program MGA, another critical element for iMGA was the ability to support multiple very different lines of business. "While our first programs are all Texas personal property insurance programs, our next programs will be specialty commercial insurance offerings," explained Dickey. "It was essential that the system we selected be able to handle significant unexpected differences between products." That flexibility and configurability is a constant focus of the Dragonflyware team, and according to iMGA, the focus has paid off.
